Global 7500 Business Jet Makes Time Fly

While this long-distance flight was just another day at the office for the industry flagship Global 7500 aircraft, for some, the idea of taking a 14-hour flight may not seem all that appealing. However, the passengers on this flight had such a comfortable and enjoyable journey taking advantage of all the cabin amenities that they were in no rush to leave when the aircraft landed.
Bethan Williams-Velenosi is a Bombardier flight attendant and she was aboard the New York to Mumbai flight. In the video below she explains what it is about the Global 7500 business jet that makes it so well suited to long distance flights and how the features of the aircraft were used to create such a memorable experience for all the passengers onboard.
The secret to the Global 7500 aircraft’s remarkable ability to elevate the passenger experience is based on its overarching design philosophy. Most other aircraft are designed from the outside in, where the interior is an afterthought. With the Global 7500, Bombardier introduced a clean-sheet design from the inside out, starting with the interior and essentially wrapping an aircraft around it.
A key consideration was flooding the cabin with natural light, which is why the Global 7500 has the most window area of any other purpose-built business jet. Designers then moved from the windows to the seat and patented an entirely new architecture with the Nuage seat—the first meaningful change to an aircraft seat in over 30 years. It introduced the industry’s first deep recline position that is designed to keep the spine in a neutral position in order to help improve blood flow and reduce pressure on the lower back.
Today, more than ever, wellness is the priority for travelers. To that end travelers aboard the Global 7500 business jet can breathe a sigh of relief thanks to the Bombardier Pũr Air system, which features an advanced HEPA filter that captures up to 99.99% of allergens, bacteria and viruses. The system not only delivers cleaner air with better humidity and quicker heating and cooling than 100% fresh air only systems, but it also provides the industry’s fastest fresh air replacement.
Technology and innovation were extensively used in curating a redefined passenger experience – one where wellness can be maintained while in flight. A glowing example of this is in the revolutionary Soleil lighting system, which is the first true circadian rhythm lighting system in business aviation. It works by using specific combinations of red and blue light frequencies to promote either sleep or wakefulness, an approach that has been shown to aid in combating jet lag.
Ride quality is arguably what a traveler remembers most on any flight. To that end the Global 7500 offers the industry’s smoothest ride thanks to its Smooth Flĕx Wing. This technological marvel is engineered like two wings in one: a high lift wing for exceptional low speed agility and a high-speed wing for unrivalled speed and range—in all weather conditions. So, while you may not be able to predict the weather, you can always be assured of a smooth ride on the Global 7500, rain or shine.
From Bombardier’s l’Opéra audio system and seat centric sound technology, to the industry’s most well-appointed kitchen, flying aboard the Global 7500 can feel like a stay in a luxury hotel or your home. And for passengers that is probably the most important thing, because nothing feels better than home and with the Global 7500 you can always take a little piece of it wherever your travels take you.
